Cyberstalking: A Definition

Cyber Stalking is using any type of electronic communication to repeatedly harass or scare someone (Rouse, 2007).

Cyber Stalking is a very serious, growing problem around the world that can affect many men and woman. (A New Challenge for Law Enforcement and Industry, 1999).

One in every 12 woman (8.2 million) and one in every 45 men (2 million) have been the victim of a stalker at least once in their lives. (A New Challenge for Law Enforcement and Industry, 1999).

The aim of any stalker is to harass or even cause harm and distress to their victim. A stalker could be someone you know or  even some one you have never met before.(A New Challenge for Law Enforcement and Industry, 1999).

Stalking has always been a very serious problem, but even tho Stalkers are now on the Internet they can still cause just as much harm or stress (Quality nonsense Ltd, n.d)
