The Consquenses

  • Cyber stalking is taken seriously just like stalking and you can get the same charges depending on what is happening (Working to halt online abuse, 2010)
  • Cyber stalking is usually classes as a misdemeanour, but can become a felony(Free Advice Legal, 2015).
  • If someone were to threat bodily injury or who directs communication to a minor under 16 years of age would get a third degree felony punishment (Free Advice Legal, 2015).
  • Stalking has even become a crime in every state in Australia (Is stalking a crime?, n.d)
  • If you were to report your stalker to the police, the stalker can then become arrested and charged and need to appear in court (Is stalking a crime?, n.d).
